Art Masters of Silvermine has been teaching children and adults for the over 7 years. Colleen Hains is the sole proprietor. She has 35 years experience in drawing as well as art history and painting with water color and oils. Colleen studied under Rayma Spaulding, a Hudson River Valley Painter. Rayma gave Colleen her first boost into oil painting as well as portraiture, although Rayma always insisted Colleen start with flowers. Colleen has entered shows locally, however, her real pleasure is having art shows in her own home, as well as hosting other artists at shows in her home. Colleen was co-chair of Silvermine Artists in Residence, which was a neighborhood of artists that lived in the Wilton, New Canaan and Norwalk areas of Silvermine. Her passion is to use art to help provide both children and adults with a creative outlet to express themselves and feel good about the expression.
