Selection Notification of Accepted Works: April 1, 2024
Receiving: 4/18, 4/19, 4/21; 12-4pm . Email mothersandfathers24@gmail.com to schedule drop off securely wrapped work at the home of David Aronson Norwalk, CT. Address will be provided to all accepted artists with a choice of times the week prior.
Hanging: Tuesday, April 23 (11-3) by CSOPA-appointed volunteers.
Opening Reception: TBA
On view: April 24 – June 27
Take down Friday June 28th Individual artists are encouraged to pick up then, or soon after by appointment with Norwalk volunteer.

Submission Guidelines
Open call for classic and contemporary portraits and figures within the broad theme of parenthood. Selected artists will be asked to provide a paragraph about their piece for display label.
All drawing and painting media is allowed. No sculpture. Photography, digital art or collage cannot be used as the primary medium.
Due to the constraints of the public gallery, nude subjects will not be considered for this show.
Maximum height and width is 40” before framing. Gallery-wrap canvas without additional frame is permissible but must be securely wired for hanging. No saw-toothed hangers.
Works for sale are encouraged. We understand many portraits will not be available for sale in which case enter 'NFS' on online entry form. A price for similar will be requested for selected NFS works. Please note that all sales made during or as a result of this exhibit are subject to a 10% voluntary donation to CSOPA.
Entry gives your consent for selected works to be included in promotional materials printed and online. You MUST check this option on Entrythingy or your work will not be considered.
CSOPA Member: $15 for up to 5 submissions.

Entrythingy membership is not required, however free registration is required. IMPORTANT: MULTIPLE ENTRIES must be made at the same time.

Final selection is by the gallery curator. While every effort is made to be inclusive, entry is no guarantee of selection.
DROP OFF: Selected artists confirm time and location with Davis in Norwalk, CT on the following days 4/18, 4/19, 4/21 12-4pm. All selected art must be labeled with artist name and title, securely delivered, easy to unpack, and ready to hang or display. Only selected artists or their designated agents can drop off. Curators reserve the right to reject any selected work upon delivery if it appears substantially misrepresented by the submitted image.
Artists are not permitted on site on date of installation. Only asigned volunteers can be present.
PICK UP – Friday, June 28 there will be a small window of time to pick up at the Mayor’s Gallery. Participating artists will be able to come then or by appointment with CSOPA volunteer in Norwalk. Only selected artists or their designated agents can pick up.
CSOPA will not be responsible for complex unpacking or re-packing. Hand delivery and hand pick up by selected artists or their authorized agents are required. Artists are responsible for final delivery of sold artwork.
While every effort will be made to safely handle your art, artists should self-insure their work. Entry gives your consent to participate in this exhibition with the understanding that neither our host gallery nor The Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists can be held liable for any damage, loss, or dispute.
The Mayor’s Gallery is a distinguished and secure government building to showcase Mothers & Fathers.
